G1 running Motorola Cliq’s MotoBlur?

This is just a quick peak at Motorola Blur found on the T-Mobile Motorola Cliq… but its on the G1 cell phone. Here is a video about the Motorola Blur Technology. It looks very good, do you think?
It runs fairly ok on the G1 but I heard it runs a LOT smoother on the MyTouch 3G….
Bluetooth is SUPPOSED to work (though I haven’t tested it)
Apps to SD works
Wifi doesn’t work
Linux swap SEEMS to work (its a lot faster than previous builds) but not entirely sure ?=/
Forgot to say in the video but you can’t really access pics or stuff on your memory card from the phone (kind of a big deal for me but this is a REALLY early build)
Contacts didn’t really sync right from Google so I had a LOT of missing numbers… =(
You would think this would run BETTER than a Hero ROM seeing how its a lot smaller and SEEMS to be a small upgrade from Cupcake in features and doesn’t have the graphical look of Hero’s Sense UI… Go figure.
Don’t know if I really like MotoBlur. Seems a little cluttered and…. plain? Definitely doesn’t have the POLISH of HTC’s Sense UI (found on Hero ROMs)
It is cool how it will update all your contacts photos based on their profile pic’s either from Myspace or Facebook or Twitter.
I did like how Yahoo mail works with MotoBlur and you can customize the font size (Its easier for me to read when really small)
I think I would have enjoyed my overall experience a lot more if it just ran a lot smoother…. I’ve seen it running on the Cliq and its nice and smooth and quick. =)
This is great cuz now you can try it out (or keep it) on your G1! =D
If you want to take MotoBlur for a spin to see if its worth upgrading your G1 to the Moto Cliq then you might wanna give this a try. =)
Motorola Cliq comes out November 2nd on T-Mobile.
