Nokia N900 portrait mode on video, a bug or feature?

The Nokia N900 is new flagship cell phone of Nokia, so it naturally is concerned by people. The N900 design with full QWERTY keyboard and sliding needs to use with level mode as usual. But recently there is exposure of the phone’s portrait mode on video. Is it a but or feature?
