Original BlackBerry Storm through the firmware upgrade into a BlackBerry Storm2?

BlackBerry Storm 9530 has many of the problems, the owners often complain about BlackBerry 9530 is slow. If you’re one of those slightly disgruntled Storm 9530 owners , however, you could be looking at a rather nice firmware update coming your way in the near future. According to a Verizon rep, a firmware upgrade will make the Storm and the Storm2 practically identical when it comes to software. The rep confirmed that the only difference between the two handsets will be hardware related items, like a Wi-Fi radio, slightly sleeker design and plastic buttons. That meaning the original BlackBerry Storm through the firmware upgrade into a BlackBerry Storm2?

And the other news that Verizon will be releasing OS 5.0 for the original Storm, to coincide with the release of the Storm 2. This is so the original Storm users can have a similar experience as the Storm 2 users.
