Sprint Samsung Moment/HTC Hero update to Android 2.1 next year.

Just a few days ago, Sprint said the Samsung Moment/HTC Hero update to Android 2.0 next year. But According to new dope Sprint came out on Tweet said Sprint will skip the Android 1.6 and 2.0. , the update of Android 2.1 not the 2.0 will be available in half 2010. The Android 2.1 version allows to bind multiple Google accounts, and join Personalize, VPN setting, Mobile network sharing, Android Market services.

Half of next year, it’s a wide time. Many users are looking forward to that day come sooner. I hope that is best in January. Come on Sprint. Then, those users will tell insolently to Droid users: Our devices are the Android 2.1, it’s same to the Droid.

You know, I have written a post on HTC’s plan of 8 smartphones next year. In that post, we have seen the HTC Legend for the first time. I think that the HTC Legend looks like a update version of HTC Hero when I was seeing the clear photo at first. Of course, I say maybe. Today more specs also was showed, such as size is 111×57x11.4mm, powers 600MHz MSM7227 processor, RAM+512MB ROM, MicroSD can up to 16GB etc. Other features we have known like 5 million pixel camera, GPS, WiFi, supports WCDMA/ HSPA/ GSM/ GPRS/ EDGE bands. It will be available in March of next year.

Although Sprint said those who have owned the Hero will get the 2.0, but we don’t see hope.

Hi, do you still remember that Sprint has updated a small fireware for HTC Hero a few days ago. At that time, we have always thought if it’s a Android 2.0 OS. In these days, we are concerned too much news on the HTC’s new phone like HTC Hero, HTC Droid. LG GW620 cell phone may be easy to miss among all the other current Android-based offerings, but it looks like LG is now starting to ramp things up a bit to help it get noticed.
