Will Motorola Droid be Verizon’s anti-iPhone? Verizon gets its first commercial: ‘Droid Does’

We know that mobile phone market competition is already very intense, Verizon with the iPhone increasingly high competition in the market in the U.S. Verizon custom Motorola Droid smartphone was Verizon’s expectations. Tonight Verizon gets its first commercial: a 30 second clip that begins by mocking Apple’s cutesy music and iconic font typically seen in iPhone plugs, simply states: “Droid Does.” We’re told that the phone will boast Android 2.0 and a 5 megapixel camera.

It’s interesting, it seems apple has increased their enemies. But I think it looks more like a commercial speculation behavior. Whether or no, it’s a good news for consumers because they are the more intense competition and we can get more benefits. That’s market discipline.
